About

Well, hello! It’s fun to have you here.

I’m Natanya and IRL I live in the beautiful Berkshires of Western Massachusetts of with my handsome #chefhusband, Simeon, our son Eli, and our affectionate cat, Mary Oliver (aka MoMo). I’m also currently pregnant with twin boys due sometime in late February or early March and spending a lot of time trying to wrap my head around becoming a family of five.

This blog is mostly about our life and doing our best to live intentionally through our values of health, sustainability, family, and frugality. I write when I feel like it which is sometimes multiple times per week or multiple times per month. I’d like to be more regular with it but… you know.

My husband and I started a meal delivery and event catering business earlier this year called Folklore Foods which we are super proud of. When I’m not helping with the business I work full-time for a large yoga retreat center as a curriculum administrator.

You can find me over on Instagram @natanya.bittman and @folklorefoods or contact me anytime at natanya.bittman [at] gmail [dot] com.

  1. Hi Natanya.

I wanted to thank you for quoting me and sharing a piece of the Altar your Space book with your viewers/readers.

I forget sometimes what I write and I was grateful to be reminded myself of living with grace through that quote.

Your blog is terrific. It is a beautiful thing to see a woman who so clearly dwells in her grace and loves with openness.

    1. Hi Jagatjoti!

Thank you for the kind comment. A co-worker brought in your book the other day and I was entranced by the imagery and written intent. Living in a dorm-like space at Kripalu, I’m looking into ways to make my small space more “mine” more sacred. That quote really spoke to the essence of my journey to fill it with meaningful items and allow it to sit empty until I find the right things (or they find me!).

I checked out your website, and I really love your photographs. The kids seem so at ease as subjects with you behind the camera!

      Best,
      Natanya

  2. Hi Natanya. I found your through Elise’s blog today, and saw that you live in the Berkshires too. I love finding other bloggers from the Berkshires.

I like your blog, and see that you’ve spent time at Kripalu too. I’m often there taking yoga classes, so maybe I’ll see you there one of these days. 🙂
